Anxiety is a fear based habit that blocks your potential.  If you long for a calm, confident mindset you will want to make peace with any or all of the following (in no specific order):

10 Tips to Power your Self-Belief & Self Esteem

Do you suffer with low self-worth or low self-esteem?

  1.  Criticism withers you.  Praise builds you up.  If you are hard on yourself or perfectionist you may frequently feel you are ‘not enough’.  Spend the next 21 days repeating over in your mind  “I am enough”   Write it on your mirror, everywhere to allow it to really sink in.  And don’t worry if you don’t believe it, with sufficient determination and repetition, your unconscious mind will eventually believe!
  2. Decide what you want and why?  Get really clear, as your ‘whys’ are your motivators that inspire you into action.
  3. Every morning choose one thing to appreciate about yourself, so that at the end of the year you have a long list of positives that feed your self esteem.
  4.  Reward yourself every day with something enjoyable to look forward to, such as a delicious breakfast after an early morning workout.
  5.  Forgive past mistakes and take forward only the positive learnings.
  6. Take the focus off yourself.   Look outside your current difficulties and explore how you can make a positive contribution to someone else, your wider community or world.   You can grow your self worth super fast with this powerful action.
  7. Become aware of your self talk.  Make the pictures and words you use in your mind encouraging.
  8. Flush out those pesky limiting beliefs and replace with perky pleasurable ones instead.
  9. If you feel you are unappreciated, give out appreciation even more.  Appreciating the best in others can encourage others to appreciate the best in you.
  10. Take constructive criticism practically but not personally.  Reject destructive criticism and use ‘constructive’ criticism to improve.

How to change anxiety to intuition

If you have created an exciting vision for your life that is fun enough to get you up in the morning with a leap 🙂  …and you still feel stuck, you may have become disconnected from your intuition.

Here are my simple steps to change anxiety to intuition

What is Intuition?   Your intuition is a kind of sixth sense, or gut instict, which will guide you towards things that help you to learn and grow along a successful path.  You have an intelectual intuition based on all your experiences and a spiritual intuition based on so much more.

What is Anxiety?  Anxiety is a negative fear habit of worrying about something that hasn’t yet happened and is probably never going to.  It zaps valuable energy by creating stress hormones that undermine the immune system.

Negative effects of Anxiety   Anxiety blocks performance by reducing creativity and concentration.

Anxiety shuts down your intuition as your intellect can be manipulated by fear.

You are wanting to move from a negatively focused ‘doubt’ mindset to a positively focused ‘confident’ mindset.

Meditation Practice   Quieten your mind – this is what ‘tunes’ you in.  Meditation is the gateway to detaching from your thought-stream so that you will have the space to STOP – PAUSE – LISTEN…to your intuition.

Mindfulness is the practice of being aware of your thoughts and feelings in the present moment.

Your intuition is only accessible in the current moment.

Becoming aware of your breath leaving the tip of your nose can help to focus you in the moment.

You are attempting to listen to your inner voice of your spiritual intuition or spiritual guidance that is your inner truth.  Most of us grow up in an enviornment pleasing others with layer upon layer of adapting to the desire for approval from our family’s and peers.

Who am I?  Your inner being is ‘love, peace, harmony, joy.

Purpose   You will experience a great sense of purpose by making a positive difference by sharing a unique talent, gift or service’.  You will feel amazing if you find ways to experience these uplifting feelings.

Replacing anxiety with intuition

  1. Acceptance is the first step to moving away from anxiety.
  2. Replace negative ‘anxiety provoking’ questions for more positive ‘confident’ questions.  For example, plan to succeed.   Instead of “what if I fail?”  “what if I succeed?”
  3. Mindfulness meditation will help you to transform anxiety into intuition to find out what is most important to you and why?  What is your intuition asking you to pay attention to?
